Homeschool Support

Ongoing math and writing instruction available for homeschooling individuals or groups in grades 1-8 guided by Waldorf pedagogy. Lessons provide structure, rhythm, and clarity while supporting your child’s unique learning journey. Parents can choose between a steady, ongoing track with regular daily or weekly scheduling, or a block format, focusing on one subject for longer timeslots over a four-week period.

Private Tutoring

Each 45-minute online session is crafted to support your child’s learning, grounded in Waldorf pedagogy for grades 1-8. Sessions are flexible and focused, whether reviewing previous lessons from your child’s teacher, supporting homework completion, or exploring new content that I provide independently. Our time together is calm and encouraging, and I work in partnership with teachers and parents so your child feels confident and prepared!

Adult Learners

Private sessions are available for adults seeking to build confidence and skills in math in a safe, encouraging learning environment. Together, we’ll gently unravel math anxiety, fill in gaps, and restore a sense of trust in your own abilities. Lessons move at your pace and are grounded in clarity, curiosity, and compassion. I'll walk with you as you discover your connection to the beauty of mathematics.

Key components of my tutoring sessions include:

Cumulative and diagnostic observations

Each lesson builds on previously taught material. I use ongoing observation and informal assessment to shape instruction, so every session builds on your child's progress and responds to what they need next.

Explicit and systematic instruction

Skills are taught clearly and step by step, moving from simple to more complex. I make sure your child understands not just what to do, by why it works, helping them build lasting understanding and confidence.

Structured skill development

We start by checking mastery of the basics: phonemic awareness, phonics, math facts, times tables and then move to higher-level skills like written expression, reading comprehension, fractions, or decimals. We move at your child's pace, using review and recall.

Teacher - Student interaction

Warmth and connection are central to my work. Your child receives immediate, personalized feedback throughout the session, building trust and independence as they grow.

Three-step approach: Connect, Reflect, Direct

Each session begins with connecting: a warm greeting, a homework check-in, and a short game gets our session off to a good start. Next we move to reflecting: revisiting previous learning, and celebrating wins while identifying challenges. Finally, we direct our attention to new material: first with a teacher demonstration, then practicing together, and ending with your child working independently.
